The outside wall doesn't have any straight sides. The structure is constructed to withstand hurricanes, and all the artwork is on the second and third levels in case of flooding. Here's a view down into the giftshop

Pictures from La República Dominicana

Instead of doing a normal Christmas with presents and whatnot in 2010, my family took a trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. We stayed at a wicked nice resort. The beaches were beautiful, the people were friendly, and most importantly -- the drinks were free! (sort of)
